DISCOVERY LEARNING launches its training programme
On 3rd September, DISCOVERY LEARNING has participated in a webinar on project management skills, where students from the University of Oslo had the chance to learn about and discuss this issue.
This first workshop, held in the framework of DISCOVERY LEARNING, has promoted the training of a group of PhD students from the University of Oslo in the management of scientific and research projects, with special emphasis on the approach to European Union funded projects. The conference was led by the project coordinator, Eva García, consultant of RTDI with more than 20 years of experience in the management of R&I projects.
The training was online and lasted the entire morning (from 9:00 to 15:00) with a short break for lunch. The number of participants was over twenty at the beginning of the workshop and group dynamics were created with smaller groups. Moreover everyone answered a series of surveys in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the training received.
The journey was divided into three main parts: introduction to project management through the ''goose game'', explanation of concepts and theoretical framework, and finally, a study case to put into practice the previously acquired knowledge.
The main goal of this webinar was to train students in leadership skills, problem solving and organisation/optimisation of work processes and to enable them to incorporate all this knowledge into their daily work for further professional and academic development. The reception of the students has been generally positive and DISCOVERY LERANING has already scheduled more webinar sessions in the following weeks.
